We recently moved back to Sandpoint, Idaho, a charming little ski town in the northern panhandle. Sandpoint experiences typical Pacific Northwest winters with plenty of snow, rain, and overcast days. After just a few days into the ski season, I noticed it was challenging to get our gear fully dry before heading back out. Our small entryway made it tough to store boots, and I often had to haul my ski boots across the house to our gear closet to dry them.
After researching and learning that Blister uses the Wall Mount 12 gear dryer at their Crested Butte headquarters, I felt confident it offered the best value compared to more expensive options.
Now, after a month of use, I couldn’t be happier. Several storms have rolled through—some wetter than others—and the dryer has been a game changer. We mounted it right by the front door, which makes it easy to keep our ski boots and other footwear conveniently stored and dried where we need them. I was initially concerned about the plastic holding the weight of ski boots, but the material is incredibly thick and sturdier than expected. The dryer is quiet (about as loud as a soft bathroom fan), easy to use, and looks nice in our space.
The heat option has been an unexpected bonus. We turn it on about 15 minutes before leaving, and it warms our boots, making them easy to slip into and starting the day with toasty toes.
As a family of five, the dryer holds all our boots and allows us to rotate gloves and helmets when they get wet. I like it so much that I’m planning to save up for a second one to pair with this. Overall, it’s a fantastic product and worth every penny!
