from 89 reviewsI haven't actually gotten to use it much yet, but so far I love the format, sturdiness, and easy set-up. It's going to be a major piece of my mud room for a long long time.
We recently moved back to Sandpoint, Idaho, a charming little ski town in the northern panhandle. Sandpoint experiences typical Pacific Northwest winters with plenty of snow, rain, and overcast days. After just a few days into the ski season, I noticed it was challenging to get our gear fully dry before heading back out. Our small entryway made it tough to store boots, and I often had to haul my ski boots across the house to our gear closet to dry them.
After researching and learning that Blister uses the Wall Mount 12 gear dryer at their Crested Butte headquarters, I felt confident it offered the best value compared to more expensive options.
Now, after a month of use, I couldn’t be happier. Several storms have rolled through—some wetter than others—and the dryer has been a game changer. We mounted it right by the front door, which makes it easy to keep our ski boots and other footwear conveniently stored and dried where we need them. I was initially concerned about the plastic holding the weight of ski boots, but the material is incredibly thick and sturdier than expected. The dryer is quiet (about as loud as a soft bathroom fan), easy to use, and looks nice in our space.
The heat option has been an unexpected bonus. We turn it on about 15 minutes before leaving, and it warms our boots, making them easy to slip into and starting the day with toasty toes.
As a family of five, the dryer holds all our boots and allows us to rotate gloves and helmets when they get wet. I like it so much that I’m planning to save up for a second one to pair with this. Overall, it’s a fantastic product and worth every penny!
One glove drying tube cracked at base during installation. Unit feels solid and I expect it to last
Excellent. We are so happy with our initial
Dryer and base kit we bought another with a sale recently. Family of five and early snow storm with sledding (and ski season upon us) showed us we need the biggest size dryer but glad we bought two smaller ones instead. More versatile and have this option of the base kit to make it free standing which isn’t available for the biggest dryer. Also, strangely, buying two of the smaller dryers is cheaper than the one big one. The sale recently was a plus as these things are expensive… but no doubt worth it. Last thing: I originally thought I’d want the wheels but the dryer isn’t that heavy so just the base with the feet on it has been sufficient. Nice to have the option though
We absolutely love our gear dryer in our ski house. Holds all of our skiis and doesn’t take up much room. Check out the pictures @_6ofus_homereno_projects
Seeing a similar (super expensive) product at an air bnb at kicking horse, I really really wanted one of these for my home in Vermont. I researched all the brands and I picked GearDryer as the best value. Family of 5 with wet ski boots, nordic boots, trail running shoes, biking shoes... this is used EVERY day.
I can't believe we made do with individual boot dryers until now! I wish I had this 20 years ago when we started having kids.
Been dreaming of having a boot dryer forever. Wall Mount 12 is great, just hung it up in the mudroom - easy. In addition to drying, it is a great way to have boots organized and out of the way. I can't image the footprint being any smaller, it fit well in a corner. Airflow is good, heat function isn't super hot but seems sufficient and eliminates anxiety over things getting over-heated. It does sound like a loud fan running, but that is to be expected. Plus, the guys at Geardryer are stand-up guys. All the stars on this one.
The GearDryer wall mount 12 arrived on time, well packaged and damage free which is unusual these days for most heavy items. It was very easy to install on the wall. It seems well made and operation is simple. Mounted right by the mud room door, it allows everyone to put their ski boots, gloves, etc right on it as they come in. This not only allows everything to dry but keeps it all organized and ready for use the next day. The Dryer is quiet and dries everything very quickly. Turning the heat on for a few minutes in the morning allows everyone to start the day warm and for boots to slip on easily.
I need it this so bad, I never even though possible this to exist, no more damp jacket. Very smart device and it works!
